Our Vision and Mission

Our vision is to cultivate generative AI literacy and competencies in students, enabling them to learn more effectively across disciplines, use technology critically and ethically, and innovate creatively, so that they can be better prepared for the future workplace and society. By collaborating with the Education Bureau, schools, teachers and relevant stakeholders, our project will reach over 100,000 primary 4 to secondary 3 students from 300 schools, train 2,200 teachers, and engage over 11,000 parents.

Our Project Design Principles

Ethics Comes First

Ethics Comes First

We believe AI education starts with good ethics. Students and teachers learn not just what AI can do, but how to use it safely, fairly, and responsibly. By making ethics the foundation of learning experience, we prepare our future generation to make wise, thoughtful choices in a world shaped by technology.

Future-Ready, Whatever Technology Brings

Future-Ready, Whatever Technology Brings

AI evolves rapidly. Instead of teaching specific tools that may become outdated, we focus on building the right attitudes and adaptable skills. This way, students and teachers can confidently explore new technologies and stay ready for whatever comes next.

Equal Access for All

Equal Access for All

Technology should open doors, not create barriers. AI could widen the gap between students with different resources, so JC GoAI endeavours to give every student and teacher in participating schools fair access to quality AI learning opportunities, no matter their background.

Empowering Teachers to Lead Change

Empowering Teachers to Lead Change

Beyond teaching students how to use AI, JC GoAI seeks to empower teachers to put "AI+subjects" into practice. This makes lessons more dynamic and learning more effective. Our project is just the starting point, a spark to inspire educators across Hong Kong to embrace generative AI and transform teaching for the future.

Why is this important?

Generative AI is rapidly changing how people learn and work, creating both opportunities and challenges for education. While many students are already experimenting with these tools, concerns about ethical use, safety, and unequal access remain. We understand that many teachers are innovating while others are eager to keep pace with technological development.

We seek to respond to this need by partnering with pioneering schools and teachers to co-create and pilot a framework that systematically empowers both students and educators in learning and teaching. While experienced frontline teachers bring their classroom wisdom to the co-creation process, we have gathered a group of visionary experts and educators to guide our strategic development. Their commitment ensures our project design is pedagogically grounded and ready for the real world.
